Blue light blocking glasses are all the rage right now, and for good reason. In our technology driven society, staring at screens is more than just common. Its become a way of daily life for many. At work, at home, on the go – screens are everywhere. Approximately one-third of all visible light is considered high-energy visible (HEV) or “blue” light, and our eyes have minimal defense against them. Blue light is gaining more research as the awareness heightens.
Blue light isn’t all bad, but when directly driven towards the eyes – it causes as a harsh strain. Defense against them doesn’t have to be harsh or expensive. I’ve been trying them out for approximately two months now and can truly say that I can feel the difference when I’m looking at a screen and not wearing them. I don’t wear prescription lens glasses regularly, but I can say my blue light glasses get worn almost as much as a prescription pair would. I am part of the norm where staying at a screen is extremely regular.
When it comes to glasses, I want them to be lightweight and lets be honest: I want them to match my outfit! I have both tortoise frames, as well as a matte black pair. I have tried a few different brands, and I can honestly say these LIVHO Blue Light Blocking Glasses are my favorite. The frames are thin, the right size for my face, and not too heavy. Not to mention they’re a great price point at just $15 (and a prime item). I have been wearing blue light glasses consistently for almost 2 months now and I have noticed a considerable decrease in my eye strain. I am squinting less, and truly get less headaches! Its pretty incredible.
Have you tried blue light glasses? I’d love to know!
